United States of Contradictions

Michael Lloyd

Welcome to Disney World!
Land of curdled milk and acid honey
Fat whales crawl on stumps
Eating jumbo clouds of cotton candy
Little children climb their humps
Suckling horns of lollipops!
Hobos crouch in cubby holes
Sleeping under locked up doors
Unrented miles of office spaces
Cardboard beds on dirty floors
Their pushing harmonicas in faces
Lamenting melodious traces
