The Last Supper

Johnster

Bitter steel bitten – my last welcome meal
Bullet with purpose – my last breath to steal
Trigger is fondled – my final fair mistress
Dark pill of death – only cure for my sickness
Nightmare to some – my sweet salvation
Few grasp my aching for anti-creation
Eyes close with lips, with finger to thumb
An inch between pain and the freedom to come
Crack of the chamber – the silence I seek
Fumes of the barrel – Judas kiss to my cheek
With everything lost, what can be won
But the ecstasy found at the end of a gun?
