After all those years I proved myself
I did it, I did what was meant to be
family and friends, full of praise
and I am so very proud of me.
Uni was where I wanted to go,
I wanted it so much,
but Mum and Dad, they both said no,
and my dream was left untouched.
But now it’s done, I had great help,
the encouragement was good,
I doubted myself so many times,
but you always believed I would.
So thanks for the faith in me,
for telling me that I could,
finish whatever I started,
for without you I’d have been no good
