Doomsday

James Ellner

The austere clock ticks its rhythm
Archeolgical catastrophes of Doomsday
Demand for psychotropic drugs
The theatre mask, comedy and tragedy
And the billions live out their sad mask
Synopsis of my mental state
Raged ragged
Limited endurance of psychosomatics
To my demise lack of tolerance of many medications
Rafters crack as the early morning temperatures rise
Enough is just a word
Lacking any endurance to enforce
While my mind wonders about bird feces on the sidewalk
Under the influence of bipolar rage
Chainsaw sings in the background eating its ration
