A mind puzzled by its own design
Fined inside by Destiny’s fee
It was afforded me for my mind to die
then restart with a creak and whine
I’d find divine intervention myself
Fate was on a shelf out of reach
I jumped up and down till I lost my doughy knees,
broke it, and then created another piece
That piece wasn’t good enough,
so I made ten thousand more
until I fashioned the floor, walls, and steeple
Turned the evil into good
and made fate out of fine wood
Orion’s belt looks down on me
just as a familiar scene of recent memory
The blanket of black mixed with the quiet night air
always gives me pause and care
Where should my life go from here?
There are two paths before me:
One of greatness and trials,
and one of simplicity and ease
I please myself at the possibility,
but I know deep down I must choose tonight
I’ve chosen trials before and gained success
I’ve been at my best for multiple years
and passed several tests to get here
I must progress despite the lack of rest and fun,
it’s no longer about the funds
It’s immortality by bending time, reality, and space
to create something great
I’d wait and see, but the instant I do that
I’d die with nothing
There has to be more to my name than a degree
There has to be something out there to make the world see
The pure hot energy that erupted from me
could change the world immediately
The raw power of passion fashioned something great
and helped me iterate
Any goal in my mind was possible
because at that time I was unstoppable
Now I have the goals,
but due to my past I feel as if they are easily in my grasp
I must set my sights higher
and chose greatness with trials
For if I do not, I would simply stop existing
in an altered state
I would gravitate to a normal life
no longer causing waves outside
Mania gives me the power to create
at an everlasting rate
Irate at times I find,
inside though determined and right
I might set goals originally too high,
however the sky isn’t as far away as most say
So when I set my sights I meet the mark,
beat the chart of what’s expected
Elected to win,
every friend now says they can see I’m gifted
I piston down the hate,
but I question myself every day
Do I work too hard or not enough?
Thus far I feel extraordinary,
but others may wish on me a coronary
