bubble gum

Donald Wuri

my dog, belvedere, ate a leaf
on the way into the house
it sounded just like a potato chip
but when she blew a bubble
i knew she had gotten into my gum
the dog is as whacked as i am
but life is better when I am manic
depression keeps me from
seeing the beauty of quiet
