Beauty

Marie Cameron

People stride
Their heads held high
Models pirouette
and turn and strut
The man in the street
plods on by
Continuing fascination
with mindless shapes
External structures
which force attraction
Break up dormant beings
What is left when all else fades
But the endless confrontation
of mortal soul
