Poem: I look into the mirror and I see the lines,
Of years, tears and too many beers.
But my youth is still in full view
Just behind my eyes.
Still in my mind,
Visions
Of a pine tree swinging with my brother
And an eight millimeter movie with sis.
Things that made us one
And each other.
In a surreal real world of no worry or pain,
We played in the rain til the sun came out.
But the years roll on and the times

In a hurried world of news and views
Of uncertainty, of marriage, of money
Of distinct worlds and different days
On the downside of youth.
Just in front of our eyes
