Spent so much time there Seems a lifetime ago Vultures in black trees Devouring me Charlie's broken at 23 Such a catastrophe White coats opportunity To agree Oh, Mercy me Debbie came to see Weeping at the sight Her boyfriend zombie Shaking hands Swollen tongue Words unable to speak It’s been a long time 30 years since then Use to crave time alone A place to call my own I've made it I'm unknown Still wish I could borrow Some things from the past Just without the sorrow Debbie came to see Just the other night But it was just another dream Oh, mercy me...... |
