This is the story of two men...I need to share with you my friend...One who left with sadness, the anger turned inward...The only things that got him through was his Daddy...A friend named Bobby; they still talk now and then since Bobby moved to Myrtle Beach...The honeymoon Palmetto bug still eats at his heart...And a counselor who waited patiently for his honesty... The other left selfishly...Cleaning out bank accounts...Vowing a fight for a piece of the house...The other gave it away without a thought... Maybe the difference was they were his children...He took most of the debt with him...Now the family he once had is bankrupt... Through the years...One sheds many tears...The other never even said good-bye to the children he lived with for years... Over time the father...Spoke some hurtful words not able to be taken back, hopefully somehow forgiven... One stole with words of cruelty...The other gave sometimes grudgingly... One struggling with not coming to her financial rescue...It's not really his problem...The other could give a damn...Said he's going to South Carolina...Yeah Right try to find him...He didn't show up as promised to look over the divorce papers...The other one hardly read them and signed them without legal advice...He thinks at times he rolled over and played dead about the terms of the divorce... May be he didn't spend as much time with his kids as he should...But did they ever really want for anything? Somehow expressing Love in his family got mixed up with money... Damn if he can figure out...Why she's confiding in him now? Now he finally realizes...May be he was/is being a good man... One thing I believe With all my heart He is not... ... |
