Title: The reflection of a destiny.
Author: Patricia Carbone
Date Submitted: 11/1/2007

Poem: In the mysterious lake of the atrocities,
with incidents in penumbrae.
Seen those that will not leave, arrive, from that world, which I once tried to enter without power, nor will,
And what I believed to be cowardless,
end up being the supreme will of braveness.

It's sad to watch the brave ones of today appear
and disappear with the weakness of tomorrow,
Even more blurred than a spider’s web silhouette.
Within shades of lies and paint brushing the intrigues,
Coloring the paint of a destiny
that reflects the obvious from a sketch in the hallway toward the gallery of misfortunes.

These are the actions hurting the ones who want
no part in shaping a portrait full of forged poses,
The one portrait we escaped from,
due to the lack of combination in the shades
and the pain of the brush
soaked with destruction.

I escaped from all of this
only to scrutinize the disturbance
in the reflection of life’s mirror....
