Title: Wintering
Author: Pegasus22
Date Submitted: 7/11/2007

Poem: Her blacks crackle and dag
Winter at her most imperfect
Holding me indoors
Covered by warm clothes
Missing the warm sun
Sipping on tea and reading.
Cooking borscht
Consuming it with sour cream and lemon.
The Winter sky leaden grey clouds
High winds and low temperatures
Echoes of depression
Brought in by lack of sunlight
Wintering wet dampness dark green
Brought mud mildew cold still air
Rising yet the parots have returned
To the angaphora branches.
Their green and yellow feathers
Catch a little of the light...
