I speak but no one listens. Sounds rebound from closed minds Can’t you feel the pain? Can’t you feel the love? Page after page Expressions of my shattered soul. Do you hear me when I speak? Nodding without interest Pretending to hear what I say Don’t patronize me Don’t coddle me My words are me My soul exposed for all to see Can’t you see me? As I stand here I am here in these words.
