Poem: As I lay here
Alone in the night
I close my eyes and see your face so sad.
Yet I think of our talks and I smile.
As I drift off
I see us at a park
Just sitting and talking.
As I fall asleep I dream we are together.
In a living room with our children.
They are beautiful and we are happy.
Oh so happy.
The sun rises and a tear falls down my cheek as I awake.
I long for you
I long for us
For a future together.
It is all I want
All I need.
I need you.
I close my eyes while a few tears fall.
Another day
I must go on...
Must make it through another day
How long do I wait for you?
How long do I cry?
Long for your touch?
For the first time meet you in person after all these years?
I love you.
And I wish you could be here now...
