Poem: This poem was not written in depression.
If it were there would be nothing but scribbles, stabs and
A blank stare on a lined paper with no letters.
Blood dripping from the end of my pen would more likely to bend
Than expression.

To me depression is never sad, there are many tears
But the pain and uncertainty of never knowing when it will stop,
If it will, and my indecisiveness
Whether I want to make it all go away.
Depression looks like me staring at a blank sheet of paper and hoping there will magically be color on it.
A blank canvas with no inspiration,
That is my self-portrait of the low end of bipolar.
