Title: The storm
Author: Brenda Dunn

Poem: The rustle of the trees, when it begins to rain
Feels like my soul, filled with lots of pain.
The thunder feels like my heart,
it begins to beat faster.
The storm is like my life, turning towards disaster.
the winds get stronger, starting to bend strong trees,
I''m right in the middle as I fall to my knees.
I begin to pray for the storm to calm, but it keeps coming at me stronger.
I try and calm myself down and hang in there a little longer.
But the storm is so severe, it''s ripping my life apart.
Won''t someone come save me? Anyone with a heart?
No one there to help me out, take pills, lay down to die.
The storm calms and passes on. I awake, I''m still alive....
