Title: Universal Touch

Poem: Broken barbed wire lays half buried in the desert sand
Still tethered to mummified fence post
Lone hawk circles eternal funeral of ancient ones
Over continent of Amercian land 2,365 miles long
Inundated with crude oil on the Florida coast line
Man creates catastrophes since the Garden of Eden
We die in our time
Sicken by births doing and our own
And you call your mind a brain
Billions dead from the wood clubs to atomic bombs
Church bell still rings
Sermon without a word
And heaven is dead
Just like you
Yet all alive in the dust of the cemetery
I''ve gone mad without hope
Living in my drug stupor
Just a blank chalk board
Dust on a eraser...
