Title: It''s Not All Bad
Author: James Ellner
Date Submitted: 6/3/2010

Poem: Crumbs lost to a panhandler
Tithing made to god
Lithe young bodies tangled in copulation
Memories back thirty years down the line
Life is so good in what we give and take
Learning process guided by karma''s hand
But still all pain in the end
Broke a leg chasing you babe
Hung out to dry with my naked ass
Took a double shot of my medication
Tried to be twice as happy
Copulations memories seem like a holiday
Spanish breeze plays its song on Phoenix evening
Loving the sea of skin color
Accordion plays Spanish sunset
I''m me today and you tomorrow
I loved letters and sex when it wasn''t a crime
Alyways been crazy
It hurts at least half the time
But I wouldn''t trade it for poetry
Take my pills, even a few too many sometimes
Especially when I had a hard day
Listening to Bob Dylan on the accordion
I hate to say goodbye
But it''s time to take my place at the supper table
