Title: Sits Still
Author: Anonymous
Date Submitted: 4/29/2010

Poem: The silence in the room is louder then it appears.
The wind strongly swaying the house to its own melody,
The clocks ticking to its own beat,
The shadows,
They dance along with the music.
And I, Sit still in the middle of it all.
Finding the words to go along with what we call life.
A distant window,
A sight to see.
The kids running in the street,
To their own beat.
So tiny they are, so far away.
They didn''t know.
They would have stayed.
Here I am behind the glass,
Sitting still in the middle of what is now the past.
Ka-Boom, Crash,
There they fall.
Their music fades as mine grows louder.
Here they lay as weeks pass,
fighting for another gasp.
Here I lay in water,
holding my last gasp.
They fight to live,
I fight to die.
The earth sits still. ...
