Title: The Reading Room
Author: Pegasus22
Date Submitted: 3/5/2010

Poem: The solid spaces of the reading room envelope me.
The trellised skylight and stained glass frame researchers and their skills of enquiry.
Drawing, framing, restlessly seeking our interlude with the past.
I saw Patrick White''s typewriter today,
With the sticker of the repair shop that serviced it.
I imagined him working with handwritten drafts,
Editing the craft of his words as they drifted into literature....
