Poem: I destroyed a work of art
Just written on paper
Sentenced for its unreality
For my eschewed view
My ego got in the way
Family, my genetic line
I burned out a lie, some heavenly body
As if I''d never been
Had I been, I would still be here
I was working on empty
Filled my tank on the illusion that I was real
Liked to play with one chamber loaded
Prayed on my beatnik rosary
Albert Camus on the cross
Living in the desert
Loved heat and plants that hurt
Impaled on a cactus
Ecommunicated from the human race
Living under the stock market crash
Oh! The wailing and gnashing of teeth
Borrowed phrase from illusion...
