Poem: Entangled
in this world.
Fearing the pain I'd inflict
if I left
on empty alibis
and voices long silent,
faces long unseen in these fading eyes

downcast over hollows
dark deepening caverns
and bruising skin.
Shrinking, fading,
evanescent.
Consolingly unable
to hold this weakening soul
forever.

No. I seek not
this testament.
This figure I see in glass,
as thin;
she swims and fades,
crimson washed with sorrow
fading to
tears down cheeks,
and eyes closing out
the truth unwanted.
