It came upon me Too fast to see It laughed at my innocence And my anguished plea It never seems quite right Choosing to visit at night Trying to resist you With all of my might At first so nice and so sweet Waves of energy lapping at my feet For I must run and I must escape The taste of futures so bittersweet Sometimes I want to scream I am aware of how I seem Please don’t lead me To the extreme My experience is wide and steep Risk at this time tends to be deep Bestow on me this wish I have To rest, to slumber, to forever sleep... |
